066 | When You Don’t Feel Like Showing Up (But Still Want to Honor God) | Christian Entrepreneur

Courtney Berry - Christian Confidence Mentor, Sales Strategy, Business Coach, Faith-Driven-Entrepreneur

Are you tired today? Feeling off, overwhelmed, or like you’re running on an empty tank but still wanting to show up for what God’s called you to do?

This episode is your reminder that obedience doesn’t require perfection, high energy, or a flawless mindset. Sometimes, it’s simply saying, “Lord, here’s what I have today… use it.”

In this short but powerful conversation, we talk about:
 • What it looks like to be faithful on the days you feel worn out
 • How to stop striving and start surrendering
 • Why God honors your consistency even when you’re not at your best
 • A gentle mindset shift that brings peace on your low-energy days

If you’ve been feeling stretched thin, weary, or disconnected this episode will breathe relief back into your spirit.

Speaker 1:

Have you ever had one of those days where you're just tired, your mind's foggy, your energy's gone, and the last thing you feel like doing is showing up for your business. But deep down you know God's called you to it, and you still want to be faithful, even when it feels hard and you really don't want to be doing it. If that's you today, like it is me, this episode is your reminder that obedience doesn't always look like high energy or perfect performance. Sometimes it's simply just saying, God, I don't have much to give today, but I'm giving you what I've got, and just showing up. So this is me showing up for you today and recording this podcast. So if you are ready, let's pray. Father, I thank you for every listener tuning in today, especially the ones who are weary, the ones who've been pouring out and just feel empty and just don't feel whole today. Father, remind us that you never asked us to do this alone. You strengthen the tired Lord, you lift the weary up, and you meet us right in the middle of our mess. Help us show up today, not out of striving, but out of complete surrender. Father, may every word of this episode bring peace, bring clarity, and just a gentle reminder that faithfulness is enough. Surrendering is enough. Just showing up and being there is enough. Our best is enough. And that is what we are giving today. So in this I pray, Amen. And just not the usual, you know, woo, like I am. And I feel like I always show up like that on this podcast. So today I feel tired, I feel overwhelmed, I feel distracted, I feel just off, just off if I'm being honest. But as I sat with God in those moments, he reminded me of this. Sometimes the most powerful thing that you can do is just show up honestly, show up authentically, not perfectly, not perfectly polished, but just show up because we are all human beings. We all deal with these emotions and we don't always show it. We always hide that side of our life, that side of our business, because we want to show up perfect. We want to show up as that professional, and we're not all like that every single day. So God was like, No, you're gonna show up today. You just need to be authentic, be real, be you, and just show up. Not perfectly polished, not super highly energetic, but just show up and speak what you feel led to speak about today. And that is that we're just showing up today, and that our best is enough. So the truth is consistency doesn't mean that we're never resting, we're never struggling, or never feeling that, you know, off feeling. Consistency is choosing obedience even when we feel weak, even when we feel tired, and God is always gonna lift us up, but he still needs us to show up if he's gonna continue to lift us up. We have to show up. We don't always feel like it. Like you, if you're working a nine to five job, you can't just call into work and go, you know what? I'm just I'm feeling a little off today. I don't feel like myself. You know what? I'm just gonna stay home today and I'm just not gonna come into work today. If you did that, you'd probably be fired. Like, do show up for your business like you would show up at your near nine to five job. This is your ministry, this is your business. So show up even through that weakness, even through that being exhausted and tired, and who's gonna want to listen to me kind of my mentality, which is totally where I'm at today. But I know that this is gonna be probably one of the most relatable episodes if I've ever recorded. But here's the encouragement in this episode today is God doesn't need your performance, he doesn't need that perfection, he just needs to partner with you, he wants that partnership, he wants to be be there for you, he wants to run this business with you, he wants to be the CEO. And when you show up and you say, God, this isn't my best, I'm not at my best today, but it's yours. So let's do this. You're you're offering him something powerful, and that is your dependence, that's your obedience, that's your surrendering it to him and just showing up, and what happens, happens. You showed up, and that's important. That is the most powerful thing you can do today is showing up in obedience through all of those gross feelings that the enemy is giving to us. That feeling of weakness, that feeling of I'm not enough today, or I'm not good enough today, or I'm too tired today, all of those feelings that you have are not from God. God will lift us up when we are tired and weak. He will be there for us, but we need to show up and we need to surrender. And I've learned that some of my most powerful messages, posts, and just sales conversations, the even showing up for a training. I've I've recorded masterclasses when I felt like this, and those were the most successful ones. It's those moments where I felt empty, but I still showed up because I wasn't relying on me anymore. I was relying on him, and I literally feel like crying through this because it's just I feel like this is such a powerful message today. So again, show up. So if you're listening today and you're tired, just take that breath. You don't have to have it all together to be faithful, you don't have to sound perfectly polished to be obedient. You just literally have to take one step at a time, be led by his spirit and not by those feelings. Those feelings of just those, those yucky feelings of I just I'm not even gonna go into that. But all those feelings that we're experiencing today, they're not from God, they are from the enemy. You don't need to feel that overwhelmed, just be grateful. You don't need to feel stressed out, be grateful, just show up by the Spirit of God and just show up with those amazing feelings that we we have, we just need to access them. But I also want you to remember that rest is also not quitting, it's not giving up. Rest is preparation for what's next. So just be aware of when you need that rest and when you're just not showing up because there's a difference between those two. So if God's telling you to slow down, then slow down. If he's asking you to show up quietly instead of loudly, then show up. But faithfulness looks different in every single season, and his favor is going to flow through both of those. So my encouragement today is give yourself grace. Maybe showing up looks like sending one message today. Maybe it's praying over your business, or maybe it's just resting in his presence. But whatever it looks like, God is seeing your obedience and he's so proud of you for trusting him within it.
