(1:20) Heavenly Father, thank you for being the author of our stories, for seeing what we cannot see, (1:26) and for guiding us even when the path feels uncertain.God, I lift up every single person (1:33) listening right now, especially the ones who feel discouraged in their business, (1:38) the ones who are questioning the timing, the ones who are wondering if they've missed it somehow. (1:44) Lord, would you please meet them where they are right now, and remind them that just because (1:49) things aren't happening in the way they expected, oh Lord, it doesn't mean you're not working. You (1:55) are always working in the background.Father, help them release the pressure to control the outcomes, (2:02) and instead lead into trust. Teach them how to show up in their business with peace instead of (2:07) panic, with obedience instead of striving. Father, strengthen their confidence, not in results, (2:15) not in timelines, but in you, Lord.Remind them that the desires placed in their hearts are not (2:22) random, and that you are faithful to guide them every single step of the way, even in the waiting, (2:29) even in the unknown. And replace their fear with anticipation, replace their doubt with truth, (2:37) and give them the courage to keep showing up. Give them the courage to keep inviting, (2:42) give them the courage to keep serving, knowing that you are working behind the scenes in ways (2:48) that they cannot yet see, Lord.Father, we surrender the outcomes to you, we trust your timing, (2:56) and we thank you in advance for what you're doing. In this we pray, amen. (3:06) All right, you guys, let's get ready.We are going to be talking about what it looks like (3:13) to sell with confidence when things feel uncertain, and how to stop interpreting every (3:19) single detour in your business as a failure. We're going to fail. Failure happens.We make mistakes. (3:27) It's how we learn, it's how we grow, it's how we expand. But what we do need to learn in this (3:33) process is that we need to start trusting God with our story, with our business, because he's with us (3:40) every single step of the way, especially when it feels uncertain.So if you are listening (3:45) right now, I want you to stop interpreting every detour as a failure. I want you to stop panicking (3:53) when everything isn't lining up the way you imagined. And we all have this picture (4:01) perfect version of how we want our business to look, how many clients we want to have, (4:06) how much money we want to make this month, how many emails we send out this month, how many (4:12) podcasts we record, how many, how many, how many, how many.I want you to stop assuming that just (4:22) because things aren't working out the way that you anticipated, that it means you're off track. (4:28) Because you are exactly where you're meant to be. The things that are happening to you in your (4:33) business right now are meant to happen to you in your business in this season, in this moment right (4:37) now.And this matters more than you think, especially in sales. Because if you are honest, (4:44) a lot of the, like, let's be honest here, a lot of the anxiety you're feeling around selling (4:51) isn't actually about selling. It's never about selling.And I know that sounds really funny, (4:57) but it is never actually about selling. I used to think it was until I learned the truth about it. (5:03) And it's actually about control.It's about wanting to get that yes right away and controlling (5:10) that situation. You want to ask them that question and get the yes right away, and it doesn't always (5:16) work that way. It's about needing that timeline to make sense so that you can feel safe, so that (5:22) you can feel secure knowing the outcome of the situation.But sales don't work like that, and (5:29) neither does our faith. We need to start trusting. We need to start surrendering.And when (5:35) you remember that the same God who placed the desire on your heart to build this business, (5:40) to serve the people that you're serving, to make that impact, to build that legacy, (5:45) whatever it is He placed on your heart, He is also fully capable of guiding you and leading (5:51) the people to you that you're meant to serve. There is always going to be people out there (5:57) that need what you are offering, but when we are leading our business in fear and anxiety (6:07) and anticipation that we're going to fail, that we're already failing, we are not really (6:14) running our business in a way that is godly. We need to trust and fully surrender that (6:21) the people are going to come to us in their timing.When we are creating this program, (6:28) we wake up in the middle of the night and you're like, oh my gosh, I have to create this offer. (6:33) Oh, this is amazing. It's like, no, Courtney, go to sleep.You can do it in the morning. (6:38) Those are those moments where God's like, hey, there's a person that is praying for this. (6:42) I need you to make it.Can you please go make it? You don't have to do it in that moment, (6:48) but please, when you get those little God nudges, those God winks and that moment where you're like, (6:54) I have to do this. Listen, surrender, do it because that is God telling you that, hey, (7:01) I am putting this in your capable hands. I have equipped and qualified you to do this.Please (7:06) do this because there's someone out there praying for it and you are the person that I want (7:10) to help you lead them through it. So anyways, I feel like I went on a tangent there. It happens.(7:19) Someone needed to hear it. Anyways, so even when, where were we? Even when it's quiet (7:27) and you're not getting those responses, even when no one's responding to your messages, (7:34) it sucks when you send out a message and you're like, oh, this is written so good. Oh my gosh, (7:39) I can't believe I wrote that.I'm going to get a yes. And they don't even read your message. (7:44) It feels very depleting or not depleting, defeating, defeated, defeating.Oh my goodness. (7:50) I should not be recording this episode this late. I'm tired.But when inspiration strikes, (7:55) you do it. But anyway, so even when you showed up, you posted, you followed up with those people, (8:02) you still didn't see the outcome you're hoping for. That doesn't mean you're off track.It means (8:07) you're being invited to step deeper into trust, step deeper into surrendering, because here's (8:13) what I see happen all the time. Literally all the time. You send the message, you make the offer, (8:20) you show up confidently.And then when the response doesn't come instantly, you start to spiral. You (8:26) start to overthink. You start to hesitate.You start to question everything. Did I say it wrong? (8:31) Is my offer even good? Is it priced right? Maybe I'm not cut out for this. Should I have done this? (8:36) Maybe I should be doing something else.Why did I quit my job? That was stupid. (8:41) But what if none of that is true? What if this part, the waiting, the unknown, (8:50) the uncertainty of what's going to happen is actually part of the process that's refining (8:59) you into the kind of person who can hold the sales, who can hold the clients, who can hold (9:04) the growth that you've been praying for, that can hold the business that you've been praying for. (9:09) Because confidence in sales, it isn't built when everything is working perfectly.(9:16) I remember my month of April and my April is my birthday month. (9:24) I don't even know why I said that. Really, it doesn't matter what the story, I will tell you.(9:28) I ended up getting so sick in April. I was sick for two weeks down with (9:37) some type, it was like a kidney infection. I don't even remember.Either way, (9:41) I was not in the best shape and I basically had to rest for two weeks. (9:46) I just came off of a $5,000 month and was like, oh my gosh, I have to work. I have to work.I have (9:55) to do the things. I got to show up. I got to build.I got to grow. I have to message people. (9:59) I got to do this.And my mind started spiraling on why the next month is already going to be a failure (10:05) because I'm not showing up in the same way that I showed up the previous month. (10:09) This is where the surrendering and the trust comes into play. I did not know that was about to be my (10:17) biggest month.I did not know that. I thought I was going to completely fail and like face plant (10:24) through that month because I wasn't showing up. And that was the most successful month I had.(10:30) And you want to know why? It was because I took a step back with what my body needed. I didn't (10:39) hustle. I didn't force.I just fully surrendered and trusted and knew that what was going to happen (10:46) was going to happen. I trusted that God was going to send whoever needed my offers their way. I had (10:52) everything automated.Everything was set up. I just had to trust and surrender and let go. (10:59) And when like your, again, confidence in sales isn't built when everything is working perfectly.(11:06) It's built when you trust and you follow up. When you follow up again, not from fear, (11:15) but from faith. And I messaged those people and I said, you know, so sorry, you know, (11:22) I was down with this, blah, blah, blah.And they're like, oh, it's okay. I already submitted (11:26) the payment. It's okay.I already signed up. Like I didn't even have to do those follow-up messages. (11:32) They already submitted.They already put in the work. I already had the money in my account and (11:36) I had no idea. I had no idea.You don't know how your story is going to unfold, (11:43) but you know who does? God does. And he's not confused about your business. He's not (11:49) scrambling to figure out how he's going to bring the clients to you.He's not second-guessing (11:54) whether you're capable. He equipped and qualified you. He knows that about you, (12:02) that you can do this.So why are you second-guessing yourself and your capabilities? (12:07) So what would shift for you today? What would shift for you today? (12:13) If you stop treating every not yet or no like a rejection and started seeing it as a redirection, (12:24) refinement, or just simply timing, it doesn't have to mean anything about you. (12:31) It doesn't have to mean anything about you. It is not about you.You are just simply there (12:37) telling them what you have, sharing your gifts with them, and they're going to say yes or no. (12:44) It's either for them or it's not. I like to look at sales like you're recommending, (12:52) you know, even a drink or a movie or something to someone close to you.You don't care if they (12:58) don't like it. You don't care if they don't want to watch it. You're just sharing something that (13:02) you genuinely love, and that's literally all sales is.So what would your sales look like if (13:11) instead of showing up with pressure, you showed up with that peace? Instead of chasing those yes (13:19) and those outcomes you desire, you just surrendered and you partnered with God being obedient. (13:26) Because suddenly the next message doesn't feel so heavy. The follow-up doesn't feel desperate and (13:32) needy and icky and just ugh.Your offer doesn't feel like it's a risk that you just created. (13:39) It feels like alignment. It feels like anticipation of the good that's about to come because (13:45) you trust that what's meant for you is not going to miss you.And your job, your job, you guys, (13:52) is just to show up and steward what God has placed in your hands. So for today, I want to (14:02) challenge you. I challenge you to send the message.I challenge you to follow up again. (14:11) I challenge you to make that offer, not because you need the outcome to prove something, (14:17) but because you trust the author of your story. And that is where real confidence in sales is (14:27) built.When you trust, when you surrender, and you are just obedient in what God wants you to do.
